Two years back my brother and I wandered in Mughal era’s buildings still standing the test of time in khanewal. I'd been revisiting these monuments in my mind for joy, when in one such solitude I decided to share why Khanewal is Khaas. Situated 59 kms from the hustle and bustle of Multan sits a quiet city with people of substance. We ignore small cities but I think these small cities have actually heaven hidden in them. The earliest settlers are said to be the Daha (A Rajput Caste) who have 'Khan' in their names and the city was named after them as Khan-e-wal. Famous for its Railway Junction, greatest Ammunition depot and the second big Oil depot of Pakistan, Khanewal is so much more in terms of people, purity and their passion for life.
