◾ Airman: Millitary Members who serve in an Airforce and have rank lower then officers are known as Airman.
In PAF Airman are inducted for..
1.Aerotrades
2.Aerosupport
1.Aerotrades:It include all technical and non technical trades.Like Avionics(Air)
Avionics(Ground),Weapon,Engine Mechanic,Electro Mechanic,Air Frame Mechanic,Electro
Optics,It assistant etc
These Trades are allocated on the basis of Initial+PTTS trainning Performance.

2.Aerosupport:It will include non technical trades.In which inducte apply for specific
branch.And After Completing Trainnig Join that Trade.
It will include Ground Combatiers,Mechanical Transport driver,Female Medical Assistant

◾AEROTRADES
Gender:Male
Marital Status: Unmarried
Age Limit:15 ½ to 20 Years
Height:163 cm
Qualification:Matric Science having 60% marks in aggregate. Minimum 33% marks in Physics,
Maths and Chemistry and 47% marks (70 or above out of 150) in English. FA/F.Sc and
equivalent candidates who don’t possess 47% marks in English in Matric 70/150 but they have secured 40% marks in English either in Matric /Intermediate can apply for induction. ◾Rural
Area Candidates:
Matric Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and
English (50 and above marks out of 150) are eligible for all trades of airmen cadre.

◾FEMALE MEDICAL ASSISTANT(FMAs)
Gender:Female
Marital Status: Unmarried
Age Limit:16 to 22 Years
Height:147 cm
Qualification: Matric with Biology subject securing 60& marks in aggregate and 47% marks (70
or above out of 150) in English. Candidates condoned with a star in only one of the subjects i.e
Urdu, Pak Studies, Islamiat are also eligible.
Rural Area Candidates:Matric Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and English (50 and above marks out of 150) are eligible for all trades of airmen cadre

Qualification:Matric Science having 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks (68 or above out of 150) in English.
Note for GC:-FA/F.Sc candidates who don’t possess 45% marks in English subject in Matric 68/150 but they
have secured 40% marks in English subject either in Matric / Intermediate (60/150 in matric or 80/200 in FA/F.Sc) can apply for induction.
Rural Area Candidates:
Matric Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and
English (50 and above marks out of 150) are eligible for all trades of airmen cadre.

◼ MECHANICAL TRANSPORT DRIVER(MTDs)
Gender:Male
Marital Status: Unmarried
Age Limit: 17 ½ to 22 Years (For only MTDs 02 years age relaxation for Driving License Holders)
Height:168 cm
Qualification: Matric with Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths & Chemistry and 45% marks (68 or above 150 marks) in English subject.
Note for MTDs:-
FA/F.Sc candidates who don’t possess 45% marks in English subject in Matric 68/150 but they have secured 40% marks in English subject either in Matric / Intermediate (60/150 in matric or 80/200 in FA/F.Sc) can apply for induction.

Qualification:Matric Science /Arts 2nd Division having skill on any one of musical instruments (Clarinet, Saxophone, Cornet, Trumpet, Flute, Base Drum, Side Drum, Trombone, Tubla)
Rural Area Candidates:
Matric Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and
English (50 and above marks out of 150) are eligible for all trades of airmen cadre.

Qualification:Matric with Elective Science having 60% marks in aggregate. Minimum 33% marks (50 and abobe out of 150) in English. ◾Sportsman Candidates would apply to Directorate of Sports & Physical Education for suitability. Application along with attested copies of certificates must reach to Directorate of Sports & Physical Education.
Rural Area Candidates:
Matric Science having 50% marks. Minimum 33% marks in Physics, Maths, Chemistry and

◼Initial Online Test
Test pattern for those who are applying for aerotrades in PAF
Total 5 test ll be administered to aerotrade candidates. Test detail is given here under as
1. Intelligence Test : 40 verbal + 60 non verbal questions
Time allowed 40 minutes
2. English Test : 50 questions
Time allowed 20 minutes
3. & 4. Math and Physics : 25 questions each
Time allowed 20 minutes for each test
5. BRS (Basic religious sense) : 100 questions
Time allowed 20 minutes

Test pattern for those who are applying for FMAs in PAF
Total 5 test ll be administered to candidates. Test detail is given here under as :

Time allowed 20 minutes
3. & 4. Biology and Physics : 25 questions each

◼Initial Medical
There will be Initial Medical In which whole body checkup is carried out.Mostly Candidates are refferd on
Vision,Knockknee,Flatfoot,Varicose Vein etc.But Process is quite easy.

Then there will be Initial Interview.It is a basic interview of 3 to 5 miutes and you can easily
cleared itShortlisting takes place and Listes are sent to Information and
Selection Center and Short listed called for Final Interview.

◼ AHQ Board Interview
Final Interview will be a brief Interview.Candidates are also rejected in this Interview.So Candidates must Prepare Academic,Current Affairs,Good Introduction in Urdu and English,And Personal details briefly.

There will be two Merit lists for Airman first will be in Jan and 2nd list will be in April .For
Airwoman therwe will be only 1 Merit list which will be in April.

The Selected Candidates will Undergo blood Tests in I&SC or Nerest Millitary Hospital.

Those who clear Medical will undergo again blood tests at PTTS kohat and those who clear these Test will join PTTS for 8 to 9 Months.
Airwoman will join Aero Medical Institute for 3 years Nursing Tranning.
After showing within the PAF Final benefit List, candidates are going to be sent to regarding
coaching center PTTS (Pre Trade coaching School) Kohat for initial coaching (different amount for various trades). Afterward, they’re deputed to relevant Trades for more

◼ Ineligibilities
Ineligibility criteria for induction of airmen in PAF are as under: -
1.Declared permanently unfit on medical grounds for Defence Forces
2.Candidates with dual registration at same or different I & SC for one entry
3.Dismissed from any Government Service or withdrawn from any Service Training Institution
on medical or disciplinary grounds
4.Convicted by a court of law for an offence involving moral turpitude
5.Candidate whose documents are found tampered with
6.Candidates unable to qualify initial tests or final merit list thrice for induction of airmen
7.Candidates who have concealed or provided any incorrect information at the time of
registration

Ans=No, Diploma holder cannot apply for PAF Commissions.Only Fsc and O/A levels candidate can apply in PAF Commissions.
However serving PAF Aerotechnician who are awarde Diploma can apply only in GDP Branch
and Airdefence branch.

Ans=These are Airman entries.Every year Airman joins Kohat trainning Center in 3rd month and in 8th month of the year.First two digit represent the year and last two represent joinning
months..For e.g in 2020 the First entry will be 2003 and Second Entry will be 2008..and So on.

Q. Any waiver in height for candidates in PAF?
Ans For ground branches it is 5 feet 4 inch for male and 4 feet 10 inch for female. Upto 17 years 4cm and upto 19 years 2.5 cm waiver in lower limit is granted. Beyond 19 years of age, no relaxation in lower height limit. The upper height limit is 188cm. A waiver of 2.5cm is granted in upper height limit. A waiver of 2.5cm is granted in upper height limit.

Note: In PAF there will be 100Qs of Intelligence Questions attempted in 35 min.
In which 40 Qs are from Verbal and 60 Qs will be from Non Verbal.
It is most siginficant test for all branches and for Airman also.It will be part of your Final Merit in
PAF.
For Airman it will be helpfull in your selection+during trade allocation at PTTS Kohat after
