My first Half Marathon is officially in the books.
21.1KM | 1:54:43
217th Overall Finisher out of 9,323 runners
196th Male Finisher
25th in the 20–24 Age Group
And along the way, I also achieved a new 10K personal best: 54:09, improving from 56:07.
More than the numbers, this finish line represents months of early mornings, disciplined training, and the support of people who believed in me every step of the way.
First and foremost, thank you to my partner, Angela Krealian. Your support throughout this journey meant everything. From encouraging me on difficult training days to surprising me with my race day shoes—the Nike Alphafly 3—and countless other acts of love and support, this achievement is as much yours as it is mine.
To my coaches, 'Kutz' Cocoy Bagunu for sharpening my speed and Coach Rester Sison for guiding my long-distance training, thank you for sharing your knowledge, pushing my limits, and helping me become a stronger runner.
To Team KKSOT, thank you for the motivation, accountability, and discipline you've instilled in me. Running may be an individual sport, but no runner reaches the finish line alone.
To The Oracle Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Clinic , thank you for helping keep me healthy and race-ready through your rehabilitation and recovery sessions. Your support played a huge role in allowing me to train consistently and perform at my best.
To my best friend, Alec Lim , thank you for joining me on this journey. From building mechanical keyboards to playing trading card games, and now running together—it's been great sharing another hobby with you. Congratulations on completing your first official 5K race!
This may be my first half marathon, but it definitely won't be my last. Here's to more kilometers, more lessons, and bigger goals ahead.
See you at the next starting line.
