For the third week of our Women’s Month series, we feature Dalareich Polot, the Chocolate Princess of Bohol! An entrepreneur and community advocate, Dalareich is transforming the local chocolate industry through Dalareich Chocolate House.

As the first Filipina to receive the Fortune/Goldman Sachs Global Women Leaders Award, she continues to inspire and empower others. Together, with the PLDT-Smart Foundation’s cacao rehabilitation program, she’s helping farmers rebuild their livelihoods.

In the second part of the 16th century, the Spanish, however, used the word “Chocolatl”
