Congrats PBRFA 🔥🔥
The Bohol Regional Football Association (RFA) U19 team has secured a berth in the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) U19 National Championships after topping Group D in the Visayas regional qualifiers—marking a historic first for Bohol Football on the national stage.
Bohol RFA U19, a beneficiary of the Providing Assistance to Sports Activities (PASA) Program under the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) of the Provincial Government, finished the qualifiers with a perfect 2–0 record, defeating Eastern Visayas RFA, 5–2, and Negros Oriental–Siquijor RFA, 2–1. The Group D matches were held from January 24 to 26, 2026, at Valencia Technical-Vocational High School in Bohol.
A total of 24 young Boholano athletes will represent the province in the PFF Nationals this March. The roster includes 11 players from Garcia Hernandez, four from Tubigon, two from Tagbilaran and Alicia, and players from Sierra Bullones, Sagbayan, Pilar, Maribojoc, and Dauis.
The PFF U19 and U16 National Championships serve as a national platform to identify, develop, and elevate promising young Filipino football talents, creating pathways toward future national team opportunities.
Under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, this milestone underscores PGBh’s strong commitment to grassroots sports development, as envisioned in the Strategic Governance Roadmap, through PYDO’s PASA Program, which expands access to athletic opportunities, fosters partnerships, and supports both LGU- and privately led sports initiatives across the province, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
