A Peso Bill
The storm rages today. Yet have to pave my way to a seminar. As I enter to the hotel entrance, I soaked my feet to a raging rain water from the street. I felt 'ewww' so dirty. But have to keep my pace as I am sure late for the first session.
The seminar went well today but due to the storm time was shortened so we could go back home earlier.
I rode on an 'ombak' with the other passengers. This is now the common means of transportation in our place now a days. The rain and with its strong wind seems to go against the vehicle as it travels on the road. Yet, God kept us all safe and we have reached our homes.
One of the passengers is an older man who just got out of the hospital. As he stepped out from the vehicle, he was assistes by the driver that seems to be a gentleman. When Th old man paid for his fare, he accidentally released the peso bill as he is still weak plus the stong gust of the wind. I saw the driver pick it up but the wind blew and the bill swept it away further. The driver had to bow down to pick up the bill.
That action strikes my heart. I came to realize how other people work so hard to earn peso enough to feed and provide for their families' needs. While others are wasting their money for wants and unnecessary things, some work hard and honestly for their needs.
This also tells me to keep working and helping those who deserved to be helped., as well as to save for the rainy days.
