This would be our 4th year Pop-up in Capitol, and in Maasin in general.
It's always so pleasant to meet familiar faces. Pero naa'y kuwang kay moana man "asa man si Sittie". Then I just always reply "toa pa naglayag Maam/Sir".
But two encounters struck me the most. You see, I have a pretty great memory. I remember the faces of our customers, and I remember their orders. FOR REAL! HAHAHA.
This one matcha kid who's been buying our matcha since 3 years ago finally came to visit. Na shock ko kay big na man oy and pretty pa gyud. Ni ana na lang ko "Omg langga, you are so dalaga na man and very pretty pa (I then instructed my barista to make her matcha) ". She was with her friends at the time, and her friends teased her and said "Hala grabe maka remember si Ate". π
Another encounter was with Cymer. This kid is from Sogod. They were in Maasin for some errands and dropped by to get his Caramel Macc. I was very happy to see him kay Cebu na man nag school so tagsa na lang mi magkita. We had a little chat and kamustahan, but what moved me kay what ha said nga "Ate, since grade 9 pa mi sige ug buy ug coffee ninyo, karon first year college na mi". π₯Ή
I guess, I just want to say that through the years, we have been on and off in this business, although, not totally gone. Over time, there has been alot of businesses in the same industry that also flourished and are thriving. It's just overwhelming to still feel people's support despite it all.
Whatever the reason is, Daghan kaayong salamat! π«Άπ½π₯Ή
Same coffee, same culture. Tara, Kape! βοΈ
P.S.
We will be back at the Capitol on Thursday! See you.
