The Gundam series is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2029. To celebrate this, a prologue movie "A boy with GUNDAM" was released as a teaser / kick-off ahead Gundam's 50th anniversary.

Good to see Gundam's from different generations, era and the life-sized Gundam's in Japan and the one in China coming together in this video.

It was announced late today the removal of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam statue in Odaiba, Tokyo. It will make its last stand this August 2026 after being up for 8 years and 11 months since September 2017.

I wonder who is the next Gundam to be placed there 🤔

The Nu Gundam? The Gundam that topped the Global Gundam Poll 2025… A Gundam Landmark Concept is also in the works… We’ll get more details soon 🙂

Nevertheless, glad to see the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam in person, right before my eyes, a dream come true 😀

The Golden Mobile Suit, The Akatsuki ✨

This is the Akatsuki, Oowashi Pack piloted by Cagali Yula Athha to save and defend Orb from Zaft. Its golden armor allows it to reflect beam attacks directly at enemies. Later on, the Akatsuki was handed over to Mu La Flaga where he used the Shiranui Pack which has the DRAGOON system.

This Gundam has defended the Archangel from Minerva’s tannhauser that eventually brought Mu La Flaga’s memory back… In the Gundam Seed Freedom movie, this Gundam had a short but sweet screen time, seen in a Zeus Silhouette and deflected the Requiem’s superweapon.

1/144 EG Nu Gundam 🙂

This Gundam was piloted by Amuro Ray in the Char’s Counterattack. Also voted as the top favorite for Gundam Global Poll for 2025.

I hope this year, BANDAI will release the Gundam X (GX-9900) in the entry grade line for its 30th Anniversary this year. Last year, they did it to the Wing Gundam in Gundam Wing’s 30th Anniversary.
