Daily Devotion.

📜 Full Context
Author

Matthew, a former tax collector and disciple of Jesus.

Wrote the Gospel around AD 60–70.

Audience

Jewish Christians, who were familiar with Old Testament law, traditions, and God’s promises.

Many lived under Roman oppression, heavy taxation, and daily survival pressures.

Purpose

To present Jesus as the Messiah and King who fulfills the Old Testament.

To show that the kingdom of heaven is about trusting the Father, not striving after wealth.

This verse is part of the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7), where Jesus teaches kingdom values: shifting from anxiety over provision to trust in God’s care.

📖 Scripture

Matthew 6:26 (ESV):
“Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”

🔍 Observation

Jesus points to birds as a living sermon of trust.

Birds don’t farm or store, yet God ensures their daily food.

Contrast: If God provides for birds, how much more will He provide for His children?

This verse directly addresses anxiety about daily provision.

🏃 Application

Stop letting worry dominate your mind. Worry wastes energy but adds no value.

Recognize your worth to God—you are more valuable than the birds He feeds.

Practice daily dependence: Instead of “What if I lack?”, ask “What has God already given me today?”

Use nature as a visual reminder of God’s faithfulness whenever you see birds.

🙏 Prayer

“Father, thank You for feeding the birds and caring for all creation. Help me to trust Your heart for me, knowing I am of greater value. Teach me to release my anxieties and rest in Your faithful provision. Amen.”

✅ One-line summary:
Matthew 6:26 anchors us in God’s care: if He feeds the birds without worry, how much more will He faithfully provide for His beloved children?

📚 Full Context
Author

The prophet Jeremiah, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Audience

The Jewish exiles in Babylon (597 B.C.), taken from Jerusalem under King Nebuchadnezzar’s conquest.

Purpose

To bring hope and reassurance to God’s people during exile. Many false prophets claimed a quick return, but Jeremiah delivered God’s truth: they would remain in Babylon for 70 years. Yet, despite hardship, God had not abandoned them—His plans were for their welfare, hope, and future restoration.

📖 Scripture

Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV):
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

🔎 Observation

“I know the plans” → God’s sovereignty: He alone knows the bigger picture when His people cannot see it.

“Plans for welfare” (shalom) → wholeness, peace, well-being—not just material prosperity.

“Not for evil” → suffering and exile are not the end; they are refining, not destroying.

“Future and hope” → restoration was certain, though delayed; God’s promises reach beyond present pain.

Context guards us: this was written to exiles, yet it reflects God’s character that applies to all His children.

💡 Application

God’s plans may not align with my timing, but they are always for my ultimate good.

Seasons of waiting or hardship don’t cancel God’s promises; they prepare me for them.

My hope isn’t in quick fixes but in God’s long-term faithfulness.

Personal Check: Am I growing impatient with God’s timing, or am I resting in His bigger plan?

🙏 Prayer

“Lord, thank You that Your plans for me are good, even when I don’t understand them. Teach me to trust Your timing and rest in Your faithfulness. Give me patience in seasons of waiting and hope for the future You have promised. Amen.”

✅ Summary:
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that even in exile and hardship, God’s plans are good—bringing peace, hope, and a future. His timing may stretch us, but His faithfulness never fails.

Finally naka-tulog ✔️ naka-terno ✔️… pero saan ilalabas ni bunso energy niya? 😅🏓

Dito pasok ang **Table Tennis Trainer**. Hanging + portable, kaya kahit sa sala o terrace, pwede.
Instead na kalat or gadget all day, si bunso busy sa ping pong… at ikaw, pwede ring maki-bond. 💕
Mas okay na magkulitan sa ping pong kaysa mag-away sa tablet time.

Add to cart na, mom! Para may bonding + exercise, hindi lang toys na kalat.

After tulog, eto na… outfit battle. ‘Mommy ayoko nitooo!’ 🤦‍♀️👕

Good thing may **Chibi Kpop Terno** — cute, comfy, tapos swak sa pormahan ni bunso.
Minsan kasi, mas madali magpa-tulog kaysa magpa-outfit ng bata. 😂
At least dito, win-win: si bunso happy sa style, si mommy happy kasi hindi na fashion war.

📚 Full Context
Author

The Book of Chronicles was written by Ezra the scribe, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

Audience

The returned exiles of Judah, who were rebuilding their identity, worship, and nation after captivity in Babylon.

Purpose

To remind God’s people of their history and the importance of wholehearted devotion to the Lord. In this specific chapter, the verse comes from the prophet Hanani rebuking King Asa for relying on a foreign king (Ben-Hadad of Syria) instead of trusting in God. The purpose is to highlight that God strengthens and defends those who are fully devoted to Him, but those who reject Him invite consequences.

📖 Scripture

2 Chronicles 16:9 (ESV):
“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars.”

🔎 Observation

God’s eyes run to and fro → He is actively searching the earth, looking for people to strengthen.

The promise is for those whose hearts are blameless (fully devoted, loyal, undivided in allegiance).

Asa’s failure: instead of trusting God, he trusted human alliances → leading to wars.

Key truth: Trusting in God brings support, strength, and peace, but relying on human solutions without God leads to strife.

💡 Application

God is not passive—He is actively looking for people to strengthen. Will He find my heart loyal?

I should check my trust patterns: Do I rely more on my skills, money, connections, or do I first rely on God?

Personal Check: Where have I made alliances of convenience instead of leaning on God’s strength?

🙏 Prayer

“Lord, let my heart be loyal and undivided toward You. Forgive me for times I trusted in my own strength or in people above You. Strengthen me as I choose to depend fully on You. May my life be one where Your eyes find devotion and faithfulness. Amen.”

✅ Summary:
2 Chronicles 16:9 teaches that God is actively searching for people whose hearts are loyal to Him. He promises to give strength and support to the faithful, while those who rely on worldly solutions without Him invite unnecessary struggles.
