When people fall in love with your flowers but not your roots, they won’t know what to do when autumn comes.
Some people are drawn to your beauty when everything is blooming, when you are happy, thriving, and easy to love. They admire what you show on the surface, but never take the time to understand what it took for you to grow. They do not see the silent battles, the healing, and the strength buried deep beneath who you are becoming.
And when the seasons change, when you become quiet, when you struggle, and when parts of you begin to fall, they feel unfamiliar with you. Not because you changed, but because they never truly knew you to begin with.
