Shuron Ronwinne & Regis II
Re-issues from Shuron’s 1930s Art-Deco archives complete with the “Orbal” shaped lenses. Made in 12K Gold-plated frames.
The cable temple/hook-on temple option was considered a “sports” option meant for horseback riding, surfing, and combat use. Which is why some of these frames were in military-use before the widespread adoption of the Aviator in 1938.
Still popular today especially in films set in the 1930s—1940s period. Prominently featured on characters and extras in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”.
Ronwinne is the 1930s half rim, while the Regis II is the rimless variant which gives the wearer an option to resize lenses for different wearers.
