In 1995, our company expanded its thriving business to opening up retail stores, with SENTIMENTAL LANE located at the plush Shangri-la Mall as its very first specialty shop selling various German grandfather, cuckoo, and other clocks, Italian musical boxes, “Reouge” jewelry boxes from Switzerland. Three other stores were later opened- one in Rockwell Powerplant Mall, another in Festival Mall and recently HERMLE in Serendra The Fort Global City. Our company never stopped its expansion as it ventured into another endeavor, HOBBES & LANDES. This new store concept engaging in toys, boardgames, hobby supplies and collectibles has turned out to be quite successful as it now has nine branches in Greenbelt 3, The Podium, Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-la Plaza, Greenhills Promenade, Mall of Asia, Bonifacio High Street and Trinoma. These stores currently enjoy quite a following among enthusiasts. The partnership, GENTLE STAR TRADING CO., was re-organized November 22, 2004 into a corporation – GENTLE STAR TRADING CORPORATION. Our distributorship had its way to all the major store establishments in Metro Manila as we currently supply to Toy Kingdom, Toys R Us, Kidz Station, Rustan, National Bookstore and Office Warehouse. We have also done tie up deals with HSBC with its Rewards Program and Wyeth Philippines. Our company further extended its reach to the consumers by tapping the provincial market, thus, doing business with prominent department stores such as the Gaisano Chain of Malls in Bacolod, Cebu, Roxas City, Davao City, Iloilo City, Tacloban City, Mactan City, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos City. Among our other provincial partners are Mennens, Fiesta Mall, 2 Windows Philippines, Dave’s Fun House, Felcris, Shop Orama, Manels, Liberty Commercial Corp., Lopue East, Prince Educational Supply, Suntoys, Holiday Gift Mart, Peoples Mart, Ferjen, Children’ s Place, etc. Our company also branched out into marketing educational products to reputable college and schools as Ateneo, Miriam College, St. Paul Manila, Brent International School, Xavier School, La Salle, Siena College, Immaculate Concepcion Academy, Claret School, Colegio de San Agustin, British Internaltional School, Marist School, Beacon International School, Esteban International School, Hope Christian School, Grace Christian School, Paref – Woodrose School, Paref – Southridge School, etc. Our company has actively participated in trade fairs and exhibitions such as the Manila International Book Fair, Mother Goose, EARCOS, etc. Our company takes pride as the current exclusive distributor of “Edu-Science”- science and instructional kits that include the famous National Geographic products.
