was established in 1993 to engage primarily in the business of reprinting and distributing foreign medical and science books with acquired copyright licenses from international publishers. In the early part of 2001, the company started to invite local authors in the fields of Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Psychology, among others, to write for and publish their books with the com
pany. This proved to be a wise move as it led to the publication of some of the bestselling local college textbook titles (in their respective fields of study) in the country today. As the company’s popularity grew, publication proposals started pouring in from authors all over the country, mainly from the medical fields. As part of its expansion in 2002, the company ventured into the publication of locally‐authored textbooks for basic education (pre‐school, elementary, and secondary levels). In just a little under four years, the company has published over 40 basic education titles with many more still in various stages of production. A few years later, in 2005, the company started tapping notable personages in the field of Law to have their works published by the company. The company’s product line grew and continues to grow to this very day. Starting with only five titles when the company began its operations, C&E Publishing, Inc. now holds the Philippine exclusive distribution of and copyrights to no less than 600 foreign college books alone. Add to this the publication of local basic education and college textbooks and local trade books, and the adaptation, reprint, and exclusive distribution rights of foreign basic education textbooks. To market and distribute its wide product line, the company maintains a committed sales and marketing team in charge of promoting and selling the products directly to schools, colleges, universities, libraries, and other establishments/organizations. To reach a wider audience, the company has also established a chain of bookshops strategically situated in key sites all over the Philippines, and new branches are being opened annually. Furthermore, the company regularly participates in various book fairs organized by various organizations the whole year round. There is no doubt that the company owes its success partly to its authors, foreign partners, and customers. That is why the company maintains good relationship with them by adhering to ethical business standards. Furthermore, the company is committed to continuously achieve total customer satisfaction by providing best quality, cost effective textbooks and library references and value added service.
