FDA BAN ON FLAVORED AND MENTHOL V**E JUICES FOR E-CIGARETTES.
FDA Advisory No.2022-1069 || BAN ON THE DISTRIBUTION, IMPORTATION, MANUFACTURING, SALE, OFFER FOR SALE AND ONLINE RETAIL OF FLAVORED LIQUID REFILL SOLUTIONS OTHER THAN TO***CO AND MENTHOL FLAVOR FOR V***R PRODUCTS STARTING 25 MAY 2022
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – Philippines hereby advises all concerned stakeholders, government agencies, and the general public that manufacture, trading, distribution, importation, wholesaling, retailing and online retailing/wholesaling of flavored liquid refill solutions shall no longer be allowed starting 25 May 2022.
In compliance with Republic Act No. 11467 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, manufacture, trading, distribution, importation, wholesaling, retailing and online retailing/wholesaling of V***r Products (VP) with flavoring other than plain to***co or plain menthol shall be prohibited.
In addition, as stated in Executive Order No. 106, incorporating e-liquids, solutions and refills with flavors and additives that are proven or suspected to be appealing or enticing to persons below twenty-one (21) years of age, toxic, harmful, addictive or sensitizing shall be prohibited.
