IN WHICH COUNTRY GOLD IS MORE VALUABLE?
If gold is pure gold, 24 karat, it is the same no matter what country it is in or what country it comes from. Pure gold is also called "fine gold" or 999 fine gold.
The differences in gold from other countries all depends on the karat quality of the gold. The karat tells how much pure gold is in the piece, whether a chunk or in jewelry or an ornament. If a piece of gold is 18 karat for example, this is about the same in any country. In some countries the 18k may be more exact than in others but all is very, very close to being the same amount of pure gold in the mix of metals used to make 18k.
In some European countries, 18 karat is preferred. 18karat is popular in Italy while 14 karat is popular in the USA. Still, much 18 karat is sold in the USA. Italy also manufactures a lot of 14 karat gold and much of that is sold in the USA.
In some middle eastern countries, higher karat is desired. 22 karat gold is not unusual in those countries. Pure gold of 24 karat is valued since the gold has value as "money" should that be needed.
If you are going to compare gold from different countries, you must compare the karat of the gold. Gold of the higher karat is more valuable since it contains more pure gold.
As for quality of jewelry and how an item is made, much of the gold from Italy is made very well as is gold in the USA. Gold from some eastern countries is made with modern methods while other items reflect older traditional styles of manufacture. This does not mean one is "better" than the other since much depends on the individual piece of jewelry and the overall design. Much gold jewelry is made in China and Thailand and imported for sale into other countries. I have seen terribly badly made jewelry of this kind, made for low priced items. I have also seen jewelry of wonderful quality. The gold must be judged piece by piece and not always by the country of origin.
