KAGITINGAN

Bago matapos ang araw na ito, aming inihahandog ang mga bagong disenyong facemask sa ilalim ng Pili+Lipi+Pino Koleksyon, ang Irong Irong masks.

The Irong Irong masks design is made of Hablon, an indigenous local fabric from Miag-ao, one of the municipalities of Iloilo. The three masks were named after the three Ilonggo Heroes - Teresa Magbanua, Graciano Lopez Jaina, and Martin Delgado.

The order form will be available .ph IG page tomorrow!

Hablon of Iloilo

(Weave in focus)
Visayas Represent

Hablon is taken from a Hiligaynon word “Habol” meaning “to weave”. It is handwoven fabric used in clothes, tablecloths, etc. Traditionally, hablon is made of locally-made fibers such as piña, abaca, and cotton but due to the increase of raw materials, polyester - the rayon thread and other fibers were utilized to cut the production cost. Miag-ao and Oton are two municipalities of Iloilo that lead to the production of this beautiful weave in the province.
