Death Note: Black Edition is a re-release of the original 12 volumes of the manga. Each volume is paired beginning with volumes 1 and 2 to be combined into one larger volume.
Save for a few colored pages no new material was added to each volume. However, volumes released in the Black Edition are larger than typical volumes and use better quality paper.
