Rice Paper Rolls are a delicious and nutritious option to enjoy as a snack or as a meal. The roll is low in carbohydrate and fat and offers a moderate protein content. The vegetables make the roll high in fibre and offer your body lots of good vitamins and minerals.
Rice paper is sold in dried sheets. Before using them, you will need to rehydrate them to make them pliable. Once rehydrated, rice paper can be eaten as is — like with summer rolls — or fried.
Direction to used :
Place the rice paper one by one on a clean, wet cloth. After about one minute the rice paper will be soft and pliant enough to be stuffed and made into a roll. One or Two spoonfuls of stuffing are to be placed in the middle of the rice paper which then ca be folded on all sides towards the middle, rolls should be fried in hot oil. Till they are light brown. Rolls to be served hot, seasoned sambal and/or soya sauce.
