An Open Letter and Prayer to Pastor Peter Tan-Chi and the CCF Family
For Unity, Healing, and Godly Leadership in Benguet
Dear Pastor Peter Tan-Chi and the Christ’s Commission Fellowship Church,
Grace and peace be with you through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We write this open letter in humility and prayer, seeking not confrontation, but communion—in spirit and in truth—with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We reach out especially to the leadership of CCF, a ministry we deeply respect and whose spiritual impact we hold in high regard.
Christ’s Commission Fellowship has long stood as a beacon of hope, truth, and transformation. You have helped bring many to Jesus, guided families toward restoration, and taught biblical leadership with conviction and grace. CCF is not a cult, nor a political tool. It is a vessel of God’s truth and love, bringing people into a deeper relationship with Christ.
One of your members, Mr. Ericson Tagel Felipe of CCF La Trinidad, has publicly professed that he is a man of God. This, we acknowledge, comes with sacred responsibility. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect Jesus in our speech, actions, and decisions—especially in times of testing.
If Ericson Felipe is a man of God, we lovingly ask: why is he not yet conceding? Why is he not leading his supporters in peace and closure? Why is he allowing division to continue in the name of contestation? As Scripture reminds us in Philippians 2:3, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
We are compelled to declare: the voice of the people has spoken, and the winner of the congressional race in Benguet is Congressman Eric Go Yap. This outcome is not just political—it is providential. And if we truly trust God’s sovereignty, we must also trust His appointment through the will of the people.
Brother Felipe now has a chance—an opportunity—to model humility, grace, and maturity in leadership. The true test of faith is not only how we respond in victory, but how we respond in defeat. As Jesus said in Matthew 20:26, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
This is our sincere appeal—not in condemnation, but in love: a man of God must set the example. An example of forgiveness, stewardship, unity, discipleship, servant leadership. To hold on to discord is not the way of Christ. To release and bless, even when misunderstood, is the higher calling.
Our province, Benguet, is hurting. Friends have turned to foes. Families are divided. Social media is aflame with accusations and vitriol. In such a time, we do not need more contention—we need healing. And we need leaders, especially Christian ones, to be peacemakers.
Romans 12:18 tells us, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” We believe that Mr. Felipe still has the chance to be remembered as a man of peace, not protest; of unity, not division.
We ask you, Pastor Peter, and the entire CCF family, to join us in fervent prayer—not for one man’s political victory, but for the spiritual healing of Benguet. That this land may rise above partisanship and return to peace under God’s sovereign hand.
We also pray that CCF La Trinidad will help guide Brother Felipe with spiritual wisdom. That he may not be led by emotion, but by discernment. That he may control his supporters, not stir them. And that he may reflect the grace that Christ showed us—even when falsely accused, even when reviled.
We speak not as enemies, but as fellow believers. We plead for clarity: CCF must never be associated with conflict, control, or manipulation. The jokes calling it “Constructors Commission Foundation” do not reflect the truth, but they echo the confusion that public behavior sometimes invites.
May we be reminded of 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray… then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” O Lord, we need healing in Benguet.
We know CCF’s core is discipleship. True discipleship molds character, even when that character is under fire. We pray that this becomes a moment of discipleship for your member, and a moment of testimony for your church.
We remember Your Word in Proverbs 16:32, “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.” May Mr. Felipe model patience and surrender. For in God’s kingdom, the first shall be last, and the last shall be first.
We lift this all to You, Lord. We ask that Pastor Tan-Chi and the entire CCF leadership continue to guide their flock in truth, with no fear of man, only fear of the Lord.
And may we never forget, 1 Corinthians 13:13, “Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” May love lead the way in Benguet, in CCF, and in every heart seeking to serve You.
With hearts united in prayer,
We remain your brothers and sisters in Christ,
Concerned Believers of Benguet
