Gateron Mint Smoothies 🥛
Linear • Silent • 45±15gf • 2.0±0.6mm • 4.0mm max • Single-stage spring • Prelubed
Alright, so these caught me off guard. I expected the usual silent linear feel; muted, kind of mushy, and only decent if you want peace and quiet. But no. The Mint Smoothies are genuinely buttery. Like, you press down and it’s just smooth all the way through. No scratch, no wobble, just that soft, deep thud you’d expect from a proper silent switch.
The rubber dampening gives it that initial softness, yeah, but it doesn’t kill the feedback. It’s still responsive, just with the edges shaved off. Combine that with the POM housings and you get this full-bodied, low-pitched sound profile that’s honestly addicting. On this GOK Venn with carbon fiber and KBM Love Detective keycaps, it’s a whole mood: quiet, thuddy, and refined.
If you want a silent switch that doesn’t feel dead or dry, this is it. It’s smooth, it’s deep, it’s polite, but not dull.
