Good day, here are the initial details for the Christmas Belen and Parol Making contests of the much awaited Paskuhan sa Panasahan 2024.
Christmas Caroling Contest Mechanics
1. The contest is open to all barangay singers/choirs in the City of Malolos.
2. Carolers must consist of minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 members. The members may either be male or female, all male, or all female, regardless of s*x orientation.
3. The participating carolers can be of youth, adults, church, any organizations or community groups.
4. The participants will have to prepare three (3) Christmas songs: two during the first round/elimination and one (1) during the final round where winners will be determined.
5. The organizer will require the participants to submit their songs and reserve it for them so that there are no duplicate songs between the participants. Reservation of songs is on a first come first serve basis.
6. The participants are to render two (2) songs they reserved during the elimination.
7. In the final round, participants will render another two (2) songs, one is a song that you also reserved, and another is from a random Christmas song list that will be provided by the organizers 7 days before the competition. Participants will be drawing lots on the day of the event to find out which of the random songs they will be assigned.
8. The songs shall be rendered in acapella or with no music accompaniment of any kind.
9. Each song must be within a minimum of three (3) minutes and maximum of five (5) minutes duration.
10. Drawing of lots will also be used to decide the order in which participants will perform.
11. Judging for the elimination and final rounds shall use the same set of criteria for judging.
12. In the final round, the scoring will again start from zero, disregarding the score obtained during the elimination.
13. All winners of the competition will receive exciting rewards on the prizes section below.

Technique (Intonation, Diction, Choral Blend and Balance) 40%
Artistry and Musicality (Interpretation, Expression and Style) 25%
Difficulty of Piece 15%
Overall Performance and Deportment 10%
Audience Impact 10%

Parol Making Contest Mechanics
1. Open to all Panasahan residents. Participants can join either as individuals or as part of a team. Please note, each person can only participate in one category—either in one team or as an individual.
2. Participants are required to design and build their own Parol. For specific design guidelines, please refer to the Parol Model Requirements section below.
3. Each Parol entry must upload photos to the registration site on or before December 15, 2024, for online voting. Please follow the guidelines below for the photos to upload.
a. A photo that will be used as a profile picture.
b. Pictures taken at various stages of the Parol construction.
4. All Parol entries must be brought and showcased at the venue on the day of the festival.
5. On December 22, Parol entries will undergo final judging based on specific criteria. The top-ranking entries will be awarded exciting prizes!
6. Participants who wants to monetize their Parol can opt to sell it to anyone interested. Transactions should be made outside the venue after the event.
Parol Model Requirements:
1. All Parol must be handmade, with most elements made of recycled or indigenous materials.
2. Participants can use electrical or battery-operated components but are strongly discouraged to avoid potential hazards or accidents.
3. The Parol can be hung and can be carried.
4. The size of the Parol should not be less than 1 meter and not more than 1.5 meters in diameter.

Christmas Belen Competition Mechanics
1. The contest is open to all Barangays of the City of Malolos. The Sangguniang Kabataan ng Panasahan will reach out to all barangays interested in participating in the competition.
2.Only one entry per barangay will be allowed.
3. Participants are required to design and build their own Belen. For specific design guidelines, please refer to the Belen Requirements section below.
4. The completed Belen must be displayed by the participating barangays in the place of their choice within their area on or before December 15, 2024.
5. A panel of judges will select the best Belen designs. These chosen Belen will be featured at the Panasahan Elementary School on December 22, 2024, during the Paskuhan Festival.
6. On December 22, the chosen Belen will undergo final judging based on specific criteria. The top-ranking Belen will be awarded exciting prizes!
Belen Requirements:
1. All Belen must be handmade, with most elements made of recycled or indigenous materials.
2. The Belen must be easily transportable, as the top entries will be moved to the Panasahan Multipurpose Covered Court for the Paskuhan Festival.
3. Participants can use electrical or battery-operated components but are strongly discouraged to avoid potential hazards or accidents.
4. The size of the Belen must be within the following dimensions.
4.1. Minimum of 2ft. by 4ft. by 3ft. (W x L x H).
4.2. Maximum of 3ft. by 6ft. by 5ft. (W x L x H).
