Anti R**e Whistle Protection What is the R**e Whistle? 👉🏻The Project R**e Whistle is the first project undertaken by She’s Against R**e. 👉🏻The R**e Whistle is a small handheld device which is capable of making noise of up to 120dB. 👉🏻The point of this is to make a scene and gather attention. The On-button (at the front) triggers the siren which does not stop until the Off-button (at the back) is pressed. 👉🏻It is a battery operated device and in case the battery runs out, it also works as a fairly loud mechanical whistle equally well. Why the R**e Whistle? 🔘When we began She’s Against R**e, we considered various options but decided that R**e Whistle was the best solution. 🔘Amongst the things we eliminated were Martial arts classes for women, pepper spray and other offensive forms of self defense. We feel that these solutions are of limited use and have the potential to backfire. 🔹The r**e whistle cannot backfire since it cannot be used against the victim in any way. 🔹There is no time wasted in learning how to use the whistle because it’s simple, unlike learning a martial art which requires training and practice. 🔹Even in situations where the whistle is snatched from the victim, it’s difficult to turn it off unless the offender knows the position of the off button. 🔹Another thing that the r**e whistle does is that it makes the community accountable. If someone hears the siren and chooses to ignore it, it is different from just turning a blind eye and is much harder on their conscience. 🔷As a woman of our country, you must understand the responsibility that comes along with owning a r**e whistle. 🔴The whistle aims to give you the power to ask for help. If you abuse this power, and the whistle is blown needlessly, it will lose its meaning and the only one who will lose out from this misuse is you. Therefore you must be responsible and know that the effectiveness of this project lies in your own hands – we can try and give you the means to defend yourselves but not the discretion you need to use them.
