Sadly Philippine Airlines and Mabuhay Miles

And To All Members of Mabuhay Miles Please Read This!

This will Be My Last Stand Philippine Airlines and Mabuhay Miles

After everything I gave as a loyal customer for so many years, this honestly feels heartbreaking beyond words.

Hindi ko akalain na ang loyalty na iningatan ko for decades would end with a response that felt more focused on policy than people.

Since 1995, I proudly chose Philippine Airlines.
Sa dami ng airlines sa mundo, PAL ang paulit-ulit kong pinili because I believed in the brand, the service, and the meaning behind β€œMabuhay.”

For me, loyalty was never just about earning miles or maintaining a card status. It was about trust.Connection.Memories.And believing that loyalty still had human value.

But today, I honestly feel devastated realizing that after all the years I stayed loyal, one difficult chapter in life erased everything so easily.

β€œYes, policies protect companies. But compassion is what makes people stay loyal.”

I understand the rules.I understand the qualification requirements.Hindi ko naman kailanman kinuwestyon iyon.

But sometimes life happens unexpectedly.People go through health problems, emotional struggles, family burdens, financial difficulties, and moments where even the strongest person falls behind.

And during those moments, a loyal customer hopes that maybe, just maybe, years of loyalty would still matter.

Pero parang hindi.

What hurts the most is not losing Elite status.

What hurts is realizing that after decades of loyalty, I still became just another number on a screen.

β€œMinsan hindi status ang nawawala. Minsan tiwala.”

And the painful part is this:through all the years I stayed loyal to PAL, I also experienced many disappointments that I quietly accepted out of understanding and loyalty.

Delayed flights.
Lost baggage.
Cabins with unpleasant foul smell.
Rude flight attendants.

Moments where service did not reflect the warmth and hospitality PAL proudly represents.

But despite all of that,
I stayed loyal.
I stayed patient.
I chose understanding over complaints because
I believed no airline is perfect.

β€œAng tunay na loyal customer hindi lang nananatili kapag maganda ang experience. Nanatili rin siya kahit maraming disappointments.”

There were many moments I could have complained loudly. Many moments I could have walked away and chosen another airline. But I stayed because I genuinely believed in Philippine Airlines.

That is why this hurts even more.

Because after years of loyalty despite all the imperfections I accepted quietly, a simple request for compassion suddenly felt impossible to grant.

I remained respectful.
Patient.Understanding.
I opened my heart honestly because
I believed there was still humanity behind the process.

But this decision felt painfully cold.

After years of flying with PAL, after years of proudly supporting the airline, after years of choosing loyalty even when other options existed, ang sakit isipin na sa huli, parang walang bigat ang lahat ng iyon.

One missed requirement suddenly became bigger than decades of loyalty.

And honestly, that realization hurts deeply.

For a company that carries the spirit of Filipino warmth and hospitality, I hoped there would be more compassion behind the decision.

Because true loyalty is not tested during perfect moments.True loyalty is tested during moments when customers are struggling and hoping to be understood.

β€œCorporate policies may protect the system, but humanity is what protects relationships.”

The extension until May 31, 2026 does not feel like appreciation. It feels like a quiet goodbye to someone who spent years believing the relationship mattered both ways.

And maybe this truly is the end of the line for me.

Not because I stopped being loyal, but because somewhere along the process, the loyalty I gave no longer felt valued in a human way.

People never forget how they were treated during moments when they sincerely needed understanding.

And sadly, this experience will stay with me for a very long time.

Still, despite the disappointment in my heart, thank you for the memories, the journeys, and the years that once made me proud to call myself a loyal Mabuhay Miles member.

I just sincerely wish this ended with more heart than policy.
