🛑 Unpopular Opinion: Why Are We Still Treating Dads Like Second-Class Parents? 🌸
Let’s be completely honest for a second.
When Mother’s Day rolls around, the entire world stops. Social media feeds are flooded with elegant floral arrangements, luxury gifts, and poetic tributes to the queens of our homes.
But when Father’s Day arrives? The collective energy drops to a lukewarm “Oh, here’s a funny mug, a pair of socks, or a barbecue tool.”
Why have we collectively decided that fathers only deserve the bare minimum? Why do we relegate men to the role of the silent provider who doesn’t need—or want—beautiful gestures?
The Toxic Myth of the "Emotionless Dad"
We tell ourselves that dads work quietly, sacrifice endlessly, and guide us from the background. But by treating their sacrifices as a given, we’ve accidentally normalized ignoring them. We assume they don't want to feel pampered. We assume they don't want to be celebrated with the same aesthetic luxury we give to moms.

For some reason, society still gasps at the idea of giving a man a beautifully curated floral arrangement. We’ve gendered appreciation so heavily that we think a living token of gratitude is "too delicate" for a father. But breaking that stereotype is exactly how we show them they are truly seen, valued, and celebrated.
Let’s Stop the Double Standard
A father's love, effort, and protection aren't less valuable just because they are often quieter. It’s time to retire the boring, cliché corporate gifts and start treating Father’s Day with the exact same high-end effort, beauty, and emotional weight that we give to Mother’s Day.
Every father deserves to be spoiled. Every father deserves to feel soft appreciation. And yes, every father deserves flowers. 🌼
