Former members banned for offenses such as having only one name, using mock-ups of products, and certain cases of crossposting may appeal their ban as early as now.

We would like to address the issue of payments and down payments.

It has come to the attention of the moderation team that some sellers have opted to omit the fact that they will be requiring down payments for sold items. Additionally, some sellers may have accidentally omitted payment options (Payment upon/before meetup, COD, Installment, etc.) as well.

The moderation team would like to strongly remind sellers to explicitly state all details, especially regarding payments and payment options in their posts. For down payments, including the specific price or percentage of the item price to be paid as such is required. May this be a reminder of the moderation team’s loyal commitment to fair and transparent transactions within the platform.

Should sellers still fail to do so, as this is interpreted as an infraction to "Rule 2: Types of Posts and Format," they may be reported for such omittance and will be sanctioned accordingly.

We would like to address the issue of "handling fees."

It has come to the attention of the moderation team that some sellers have opted to omit the fact that their items have a "handling fee" upon their purchase from the seller's post.

While the moderation team has no direct quarrel with the general thought of handling fees, it stands firm with the idea that transparency must be foremost in the selling and auctioning of items.

Hence, for whatever reason, should sellers wish to have a "handling fee," it must be explicitly stated in the post itself, and the captions of individual items respectively. The specific price must also be stated as well.

Should sellers still fail to do so, as this is interpreted as an infraction to "Rule 2: Types of Posts and Format," they may be reported for such omittance and will be sanctioned accordingly.

We hope everyone has felt the warm love of people close to them during the days of such cold, unpredictable, and unforgiving weather within Los Baños.

The ELBids Moderation Team has continuously looked for ways to further serve the UPLB community as efficiently and properly as possible. Hence, we would like to introduce the ELBids HelpDesk, a newly automated HelpDesk page for the community's needs.

Ban Appeals are now also open for consideration. To start a ban appeal, you may fill-up the concern form (bit.ly/elbidsconcernform), then initiate a conversation with this page so moderators may attend to your concerns immediately.
