LOOK: COACH BAGS NOW MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES — $10-M FACTORY OPENS IN BATAAN

FCF Manufacturing, the Philippine arm of China-based Fashion Focus, has invested $10 million to establish a Coach production facility at the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

With over 30 years of experience in luxury bag manufacturing, Fashion Focus and its affiliate Merit Focus selected the Philippines as their first expansion site outside China — a move seen as a major boost to the country’s high-end manufacturing sector.

According to AFAB Chairman Deogracias Custodio, the factory is set to employ around 1,000 workers in its first year, with plans to expand to 4,000 jobs as operations grow. Production began in mid-2012, strengthening both local employment and the Philippines’ reputation in global luxury craftsmanship.
