Happy Mother’s Day 💐
Motherhood has changed me in every possible way — physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. But despite all the challenges, it has also given my life a deeper kind of purpose and love I never knew existed.
Living far away from home, without much support, with just me and my husband working hard every single day to survive and build a life for our little family, often made us feel like we were starting from zero. People say that after two years, mothers “get their pink back,” like flamingos regaining their color after losing it while nurturing their babies. But the truth is, it doesn’t happen the same way for everyone.
Motherhood asks so much from you. You want to choose yourself sometimes, but there’s a little human who needs you more. You pause your career to witness every milestone, yet still carry the guilt of not contributing financially enough. Then when you work again, another guilt appears — wondering if you’re missing too much time with your child.
The sleepless nights, the postpartum struggles, stretch marks, weight gain, hair loss, hormonal changes, and days of looking in the mirror and barely recognizing yourself — they are all real. There were moments I cried because I missed the woman I used to be. But slowly, I realized that the woman staring back at me was someone stronger, softer, and more beautiful in a completely different way.
To my little one, I am still the most beautiful woman in the world — and honestly, that heals something deep inside me.
Now I’m slowly finding my rhythm again as a full-time working mom, trying my best in both worlds, still grinding every day. But that’s what mothers do. We love deeply, and with that love comes sacrifice — sacrifices we make willingly because our children are worth every single one.
Do I regret becoming a mother? Never. Motherhood made me feel more alive. It gave me another reason to keep going, another purpose bigger than myself.
And if I were given the chance to go back in time and choose again, I would choose this life, this love, and this role a hundred times over.
To all the moms out there — you are seen, appreciated, and deeply loved. Happy Mother’s Day 🤍
