When I turned eighteen, I visited this home for girls run by nuns here in the city. Tahanang Carmela D’ Amore celebrated my 18th birthday with me and made the occasion more meaningful and special. We sang, danced and laughed together. It was one of the moments that I definitely treasure in my heart.

And as I reach another milestone in my life, I came back. The girls are all grown up now, but the love and support are still there. At some point, they have become my inspiration to achieve my dreams in life because I want to help them as much as I can. I may have not experienced the loss and abuse they have felt at a young age, but their smiles and tears are enough motivation for me to be better and to strive more in life.

This place is a haven, indeed. Thank you, Tahanang Carmela D' Amore. Know that you are always remembered and loved.
