🚨 23 September 2024 - important update - new Roles added to the Green List 🚨

Seventeen roles will be added to the Green List from March 2024. These are:

Aviation Engineer (Avionics, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineer)
Naval Architects (aka Marine Designer)
Mechanical Engineering Technician
ICT Database and System Administrator
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
Road Roller Operator
Paving Plant Operator
Corrections Officer
Metal Fabricator
Pressure Welder
Welder
Fitter (General)
Fitter and Turner
Fitter-Welder
Metal Machinist (First Class)
Panel Be**er
Vehicle Painter.

What is the Green List?

✅ The Green List provides a secure 2 year pathway to residency for migrants meeting certain criteria, and in some cases a “straight to residence” option.

✅ Partners of migrants in occupations on the Green List can get open work rights, instead of being restricted to working for accredited employers and earning the median wage.

✅ Employers looking to fill roles on the Green List do not have to advertise as part of the Job Check process, as long as the role they are recruiting for meets the specified requirements.
