What is factory overruns? Sometimes a manufacturer will produce more of a product than their stores or outlets have room to sell. This is called a manufacturing overrun. Because it costs money to store goods (have to pay for warehouses, etc), manufacturers will then sell the overrun at reduced cost to get rid of them. However, they don't want to undercut their own stores, so they'll disfigure them in some way, such as snip off the label.
