Seed Oils are OUT
Basic ito sa Low Carb Nutrition. Ang delikado sa nag Low carb diet -lalo na dun sa Ketogenic Diet (very low carb, moderate protein, high fat) - ay yung Uri ng taba na gagamitin nila.
Dahil kung Seed Oils ang gagamitin mo, it will be a complete disaster.
Dahil ang seed oils ay:
🔹Highly inflammatory.
Napakataas ng kanilang Omega 6 content (o Linoleic Acid).
🔹Mataas ang kanilang Hexane content na isa ring toxin.
Isang Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbon (MOSH) ang Hexane. Ginagamit yan sa pag extract ng seed oils mula sa buto.
🔹Meron silang traces ng herbicides at pesticides.
Ang pinaka masamang herbicide na carcinogen ay ang glyphosate (gaya ng Roundup ng Monsanto). It kills the weeds. But not the crop. Kaya kinailangan nilang I genetically modify ang crop
🔹Ang canola, meron pa ring tirang erucic acid (less than 2%)
Canola is genetically modified rapeseed. Rapeseed has toxic erucic acid. Pinababa ang erucic acid sa canola. Pero may konting tira pa rin.
🔹May toxic trans fat sila. Mga less than 2%.
Usually, ang trans fat ay dun nag form during hydrogenation ng oil. Pero sa sobrang unstable ng seed oils, when they are subjected to high temperature processing, nag form ng trans fats. Tapos kung ginamit mo pang cooking oil ang seed oils, MAS MARAMI ULIT NA TRANS FATS.
In summary, AVOID all seed oils (canola, corn oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, margarine, cottonseed oil, safflower oil, etc)
