PUBLIC ADVISORY

The General Luna Municipal Police Station would like to clarify the guidelines regarding activities at the Malinao Skate Road in Brgy. Malinao, General Luna, Surigao del Norte.

To maintain a balance between law, public order, road safety, and the tourism-friendly atmosphere of our municipality, skate and similar recreational activities are only allowed from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

This is not intended to kill the vibe or discourage recreation. Rather, it is a balanced approach that allows everyone to enjoy the area while ensuring that the law is observed.

Please be reminded that national roads are governed by laws that prohibit their use as amusement areas, extensions of private businesses, or any activity that obstructs the free flow of traffic. While solar lights have been installed in the area, this does not mean that recreational activities may be conducted at any time of the day or night.

We respectfully ask everyone to cooperate and observe the designated schedule. By working together, we can preserve a safe, orderly, and enjoyable environment for residents, visitors, and tourists alike. Defiance of any lawful order issued by authorities will lead to immediate apprehension and criminal charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 17 (Revised Philippine Highway Act) alongside charges for Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority. Stay responsible and law-abiding while enjoying.
