It's heartwarming to think that my customer, after several years, still continues to trust me and my products.

“It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.” - St. Augustine of Hippo

These words remind us that the direction of our spiritual lives is profoundly shaped by the choice between pride and humility. It is natural for us to want to elevate ourselves, to rely entirely on our own strength, and to desire control over our circumstances. But true spiritual elevation works in exactly the opposite way.

Sometimes we are tempted to let our accomplishments, intellect, or perceived righteousness fuel a quiet sense of superiority. Embracing humility does not mean denying our God-given gifts or viewing ourselves as worthless; rather, it means recognizing that all we have is a grace, choosing to let go of our ego, and intentionally remembering our profound need for God.

When we navigate the world with this kind of humility, our ordinary lives become a reflection of the divine. What may seem like a small act of admitting a mistake, asking for help, or putting someone else's needs first today can protect us from the isolating, destructive pull of pride tomorrow.

In this way, becoming like the angels is not a matter of soaring above our human limitations; it is a gentle posture of the heart that grounds us in truth, making room for God’s authentic love and peace to work through us.

MARCH 28—SABADO DE PASION (PASSION SATURDAY)
MARCH 29—DOMINGO DE RAMOS (PALM SUNDAY)

March 28 – Sábado de Pasión (Passion Saturday)
This day serves as a quiet yet powerful preparation for Holy Week. It is the final day before the Church formally begins commemorating the Passion of Christ. The mood shifts from ordinary Lenten reflection to a more intense meditation on the suffering that Jesus is about to endure. Traditionally, this day invites us to enter into silence, prayer, and interior reflection—standing spiritually with the Blessed Mother as she anticipates the sorrow of her Son’s Passion. It is a moment of stillness before the unfolding of the great mystery of salvation.

March 29 – Domingo de Ramos (Palm Sunday)
This marks the beginning of Holy Week. The liturgy is rich in contrast: it starts with joy and triumph as we remember Christ’s entry into Jerusalem, where people welcomed Him with palm branches, shouting “Hosanna!”—a cry that means “Save us!” Yet, within the same celebration, the tone quickly shifts to the solemn reading of the Passion narrative. This reminds us how quickly human hearts can change—from praise to rejection.

Palm Sunday teaches us that following Christ is not only about moments of joy and victory but also about embracing the Cross. The blessed palms we carry symbolize our willingness to welcome Christ into our lives—not just as King in times of celebration, but as Savior in moments of suffering.

Together, these two days form a bridge: from silent preparation (Sábado de Pasión) to the solemn and triumphant opening of Holy Week (Domingo de Ramos). They invite us to walk closely with Jesus—from His entrance into Jerusalem to His Passion, Death, and ultimately, His Resurrection.

MARCH 27, 2026
VIERNES DE DOLORES (FRIDAY OF SORROWS)
FRIDAY DEVOTION TO THE SACRED HEART

Every Friday is a day of the Sacred Heart, because every Friday is centered on the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Heart of Jesus is most clearly revealed on the Cross—pierced, suffering, and pouring out love for humanity. So even outside the First Friday Devotion, every Friday naturally leads us to His Sacred Heart.

At the same time, when this falls on Viernes de Dolores, we don’t only look at the Heart of Jesus—we also contemplate the Sorrowful Heart of Mary, who remained with Him in His suffering. Her heart was united with His: as His Heart was pierced by the lance, hers was pierced spiritually by sorrow.

Every Friday reveals the Sacred Heart of Jesus—and on the Friday of Sorrows, we also encounter the Sorrowful Heart of Mary, united in one sacrifice of love.
