This conversation is part of our work with project beneficiaries in Davao City under the EU–PH Green Economy Partnership, funded by the European Union through the Global Gateway Initiative.
🌱 We are proud to share that GreenVisionsPH is the Innovation Challenge winner and the selected Innovator Team for Davao City, paving the way for the rollout of our Farm4Bayanihan Hubs—supporting communities to upcycle biodegradable waste into biofertilizers and animal feeds, while advancing sustainable agriculture, climate action, and livelihood commercialization.
🤝 Together, we’re building inclusive, circular, and climate-resilient communities.
♻️ 10Rs in Action—Starting with REFUSE
Among the 10Rs, we emphasized REFUSE as the most powerful first step. Simple choices—like refusing single-use plastics or plastic cellophane when alternatives exist—can make a massive difference. If everyone in the Philippines does this, we could avoid at least 50 million plastic cellophane pieces in a single day. Small acts, collective impact. 💚
🌏 The EU–PH Green Economy Partnership is funded by the European Union in the Philippines as part of the EU’s initiative and spearheaded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
🌱 Co-led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and implemented by UNDP Philippines, Specific Objective 2 (SO2) Green LGUs empowers local governments and communities to lead inclusive circular economy transitions—reducing plastic and organic waste, creating green jobs, and building climate-resilient local systems.
