Some battles don’t make sense at first… but I’m choosing to trust that God is using this season to strengthen me and lead me exactly where I need to be.

Today Lord, I realize that through the reading of Judges 20-21 I can now see that sometimes You allow battles and fights in my life to serve as realignment for my focus and as re-centering for my devotion. With this truth, as I go into my battles help me to realize that You are my strength, help me to realize that You have always been my shield, and I ask that You forgive me for relying on anything else other than Your power and Your glory to bring me through tough times. Just like the children of Israel banded together as one... I thank You that You are assembling an army on my behalf to help right the wrongs of the enemy. I decree and declare that even though the battle may seem lost I will double down, strengthen my resolve, and declare victory over my enemies until I see the manifestation of Your promised ending. I stand in awe of Your faithfulness towards me because even in my worst, You still pursue me with outstretched arms and a glorious future for me! Thank You Lord! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

There are days when life feels uncertain—when plans don’t go the way we hoped, when people disappoint us, and when our hearts feel heavy with things we don’t fully understand. In those moments, it’s easy to question everything, even our own strength. But this is where faith quietly steps in.

Trusting God doesn’t mean we have all the answers. It doesn’t mean the road becomes smooth overnight. It means choosing to believe that there is a purpose behind every delay, every closed door, and every unanswered question. It means surrendering what we cannot control and holding on to the truth that God sees the bigger picture we cannot yet see.

Sometimes, God removes people from our lives to protect us. Sometimes He allows challenges to shape us, to teach us patience, resilience, and humility. And sometimes, He simply asks us to wait—not as a punishment, but as preparation for something greater than what we imagined.

Faith is not about having a perfect life; it’s about having a steady heart in the middle of imperfection. It’s about waking up each day and choosing to trust, even when it hurts, even when it’s hard, even when nothing makes sense.

So if you’re in a season of confusion or pain, hold on. Pray even when words are hard to find. Trust even when your heart is tired. God is working behind the scenes, aligning things in ways you may not yet understand.

In time, everything will make sense. And when it does, you’ll realize that every moment you chose to trust God was never wasted.

There are moments when your heart feels overwhelmed—not just because of problems, but because of the pain caused by people, misunderstandings, and situations you never asked for. Yung tipong you’re trying to do what’s right, you’re holding on to your values, pero ikaw pa yung nasasaktan at napapagod.

In times like this, trusting God becomes more than just words—it becomes your only anchor.

You may not understand why certain people are allowed to hurt you, or why situations become complicated when all you wanted was peace. But God sees everything—the truth in your heart, the intentions you carry, and the battles you fight silently. Hindi man makita ng iba, hindi ka nag-iisa. God knows.

Sometimes, God allows these situations not to break you, but to protect you, to open your eyes, and to remove anything or anyone that could destroy your peace in the long run. Kahit masakit, kahit parang unfair, there is a purpose behind it.

You don’t have to fight every battle. You don’t have to prove yourself to everyone. God will handle what you cannot. Your role is to stay calm, to stay grounded, and to keep your faith intact—even when your emotions are telling you otherwise.

Let God deal with the people who hurt you. Let Him restore your peace. And most importantly, let Him heal your heart.

This season may be painful, but it will not last forever. One day, you’ll look back and realize that God was protecting you, redirecting you, and strengthening you all along.

So breathe. Pray. Cry if you must—but don’t lose your faith.

Because God is with you… even in this.

Sometimes, I play dumb so someone else can feel smart. Balance, they call it.

A Place for Everyone: The Dasmariñas City Sports Oval
By Vel's

📍 Dasmariñas City, Cavite

Standing proudly in the heart of the city, the Dasmariñas City Sports Oval has become more than just a sports facility — it’s a space that brings the community together. With its wide football field and well-maintained track and field lanes, it welcomes everyone, from aspiring athletes to families simply seeking a wholesome outdoor experience.

As a resident of Dasmariñas, I feel an immense sense of pride knowing that our city government has built something this significant — a free and accessible venue dedicated to sports development and healthy living. It’s heartwarming to see young people running, playing, and training here, knowing that opportunities like this are often limited to those who can afford expensive sports complexes.

Before discovering this oval, my family and I used to go to a nearby town for football practice and outdoor activities. But there, access required payment and time was restricted. The Dasma Sports Oval, on the other hand, is open to all, with comfortable audience seating for families who want to cheer or simply relax while watching the games.

What makes the place even more special is how it accommodates every generation — from kids learning teamwork on the field, to seniors walking and jogging along the oval. It’s a rare and beautiful mix of energy, youth, and wisdom in one shared space.

I hope this place will continue to be well-maintained and respected by everyone who visits. Let’s all help preserve its cleanliness, beauty, and purpose. Because the Dasmariñas City Sports Oval isn’t just a venue — it’s a reflection of what a caring and inclusive community looks like.

✨ May God bless this place and all who made it possible — a space built with love, concern, and genuine care for everyone, regardless of status in life.

Flood Control or Cash Control?

Every rainy season, Filipinos brace for the floods. What they do not expect—but have been forced to endure—is the flood of corruption that comes with it. The latest revelations of ghost projects in flood control programs expose a sickening truth: millions meant to save lives and protect communities have instead lined the pockets of politicians and their allies.

Names of lawmakers and officials have been dragged into this scandal, and the allegations are not whispers—they are backed by documents and testimonies pointing to “shares” worth millions. This is not mere negligence. This is systematic plunder. For every kilometer of d**e that exists only on paper, an entire barangay is left underwater. For every drainage project that was never built, thousands of families are forced into evacuation centers.

The brazenness is an insult to taxpayers, but worse, it is a direct assault on the poor who suffer most during floods. Corruption in flood control is not just theft—it is blood on the hands of those who profit while others drown. Unless these officials are named, investigated, and prosecuted, the cycle will never end. The ghosts of these projects will keep haunting the nation—until we decide to bury not only the schemes, but also the careers of those who profit from them.

UP Hopefuls: A Day of Dreams, Determination, and Devotion

August 2, 2025 — The sun had not yet risen, but the streets near the University of the Philippines campuses were already alive. Not with the usual weekday rush, but with quiet footsteps, whispered prayers, and the strong, unspoken bond between parents and their children — the UP Hopefuls.

Clutching test permits, water bottles, lucky charms, and sometimes each other’s hands, these students stepped into the gates of one of the country’s most prestigious universities, not just to take an exam, but to pursue a dream. The UPCAT — the University of the Philippines College Admission Test — is not just a test of academic preparedness, but also a rite of passage.

Yet, beyond the examinees themselves, another story unfolded outside the testing rooms — the story of the unwavering support from parents, guardians, and families who stood by them, often literally, in the heat and in the wait.

Some came from far-flung provinces, leaving at dawn or even the night before. Others checked in nearby to ensure their children would arrive on time. There were those who stayed in waiting areas the entire morning, silently praying, refreshing themselves with fans, snacks, or quiet tears. Their presence was a comfort, a reminder that whatever the outcome, these hopefuls are already loved, already believed in.

In the crowd, there were words of encouragement:

"Pray ka, anak"

“Kaya mo ’yan, anak.”

“Proud na proud kami sa’yo.”

One could see not just nervous students, but families that carried their children’s hopes on their shoulders. There was no promise of a passing mark, but what was guaranteed was love — constant, unconditional, and quietly powerful.

As one mother whispered while holding her child’s backpack, “Kung hindi man ito ang para sa kanya, alam kong may mas magandang daan na nakalaan.”

The UPCAT is over, but the journey of these UP Hopefuls continues. Whether they enter the halls of UP or find their paths elsewhere, they already carry with them something far greater than academic credentials — the strength of support, the courage of hope, and the beauty of being believed in.

Becoming: The Art of Starting Over

There comes a time when silence grows too loud, and the words you’ve been keeping inside knock louder than ever, begging to be heard. This is that time. And this—this is my beginning.

I am starting something new. Something that both scares me and sets me free.
I will write. I will publish. I will tell stories—not just of triumphs, but of stumbles, sharp turns, and quiet reinventions. I will share thoughts once too fragile to speak aloud, moments too sacred to forget. The bruises, the lessons, the rebuilding—these are no longer just memories. They are messages.

Life doesn’t always ask for permission. It enters like a wave, sometimes calm, sometimes cruel. It takes. It teaches. And in its wake, we’re left standing on unfamiliar shores, asking, "Now what?"

But here is what I’ve learned:
Reinventing oneself is not a sign of defeat. It is a brave, deliberate act of faith.
It means gathering the broken pieces of who you were and shaping them into someone wiser, quieter, kinder. It means letting go of timelines and comparisons, and simply blooming where your scars have made space.

This isn’t about being perfect.
This is about being real.

So I write—for the ones who are starting again.
For those walking barefoot through seasons of change.
For anyone who has been bent but not broken.

I write to say:
You are not alone.

Your story matters, even in the messy middle.
Especially in the messy middle.

Let this be the first page of many.
And if you are reading this, maybe it’s your beginning too.
