Skyhawk is the last generation off road Helmet by KYT, made of TRI-fiber composite, dynamic and performing shapes. It’s developed and optimized in the most famous tracks of MX World championship. Specification

SHELL
Shell made of TRI-fiber composite that allows to get a lighter shell but, at the same time, a more protective. The outer shell, made of tricarboco fiber, a mix of kevlar, carbon and fiberglass with different weights/breaking loads linked up; loads, linked up with aramid resins ensures a lighter, harder more safety and impact resistant shell. To satisfy even the most demanding and professional riders, SKY HAWK is made in 2 different shells: M and L.

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE
Internal polystyrene is made of 2 different sizes (M & L) to obtain the best ergonomics with different thickness. This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the impact force generated by an impact. Although most of the energy due to an impact is absorbed by the outer protective shell due to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is decisive for the absorption of residual energy.

VENTILATION
The air intakes are designed to increase internal comfort, the air flow is channeled into the inner shell through 4 large front openings protected by solid metal meshes. The internal polystyrene protection and comfort liners have been optimized to work in symbiosis with the large air intakes.

INNERS
Inner liner and cheek pads are removable, washable and replaceable. They are in precious bielastic fabric with specific fibers that offer the following characteristics:

Rapid flow of moisture from the water
Maintaining optimal temperature
Light, soft and breathable fabric

RETENTION SYSTEM
The retention system used is the ”D-RING” in light alloy.

PEAK
The peak has an elongated, protective profile and it’s easily adjustable to multiple positions without using tools. The screws are made of metal.

The visor of NF-R is PC injected, anti-scratch, optic in class 1 with variable thickness. The hooks and rotation system allows visor removal without tools.
VENTILATION
Internal Polystyrene liner was studied to work in symbiosis with the air intake on the external shell. Particular channelings, obtained on polystyrene, allow airflow intake optimal ventilation into the helmet and a quick exhaust of the hot air.
CHEEK PAD
The cheek pads and the internal comfort shell can be removed, washed and replaced. They are made of precious bi-elastic fabric with specific fibers coupled with sponges with open cells for the best airflow in order to keep fresh and dry.
STRAP
The retention system is equipped with micrometric buckle.
PINLOCK
NF-R is equipped with the PINLOCK Max Vision lens included.

This characteristic allows a gradual and progressive absorption of the energy produced by the impact. Even if the bigger part of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the external shell, thanks to its deformation, the role of polystyrene is determinant for the absorption of the residual energy.

The visor is made of polycarbonate, with antiscratch treatment. The new system of hooks to the helmet and allow the visor removal without tools. TT Course has a lock system to fix the visor during the riding in the close position. TT Course is PINLOCK ready

VENTILATION

Particular channelings obtained on polystyrene, allow to work in symbiosis with the several air intakes an optimal ventilation into the helmet and a quickly exhaust of the hot air. TT Course has five air intakes on the front and four air extractors under the aerodynamics spoiler

They are made of soft breathable bielastic fabric with synthetic fibers, that offer a high sweat absorption and keep fresh and dry. The cheek pads are easily removable, there are available cheek pads with different thickness.
