Himalayan Salt Lamps are Hygroscopic, which means they absorb moisture from the air. As a General Rule, they should not be placed in damp rooms, outdoors or in rooms with high humidity. Himalayan Salt Lamps will start to “sweat” or “weep” if they are left turned off for long periods of time, so we advise to keep your Himalayan Salt Lamp(s) turned on at all times whilst you are home. If moisture persists dry the lamp with a cloth. We also advise not to have your Lamps sitting directly onto a wooden surface, and if you are concerned about your Lamp weeping then it is sometimes handy to sit it on a plate of some kind.
