The expiration of Provisional Project Engineer Certificates will start next week (July 19,2026). However, as of this date, the DPWH has yet to issue any official memorandum or Department Order (DO) clarifying whether an extension will be granted or an absolute expiration shall take effect.

Given that approximately 80% or atleast 70% of the total number of accredited provisional Project Engineers are set to expire within the next three months, what course of action should these engineers be advised to undertake?

POV: If the department is okay with losing that many Provisional PE, they're basically like starting again from zero eh! 😅
