You might know me as a social media marketer for various local beauty brands, leading different campaigns, or as the coach guiding your freelancing journey, but my heart will always come back to writing.
As a writer who often writes from the perspective of various characters depending on the projects I take on, it can be challenging to connect with a character I can't relate to, especially when it's rooted in a current situation.
Imagine the bittersweet ache of crafting the runouts for a movie trailer, capturing the heartfelt perspective of a loving fatherโthe kind of father I hope my son will always have, yet knowing deep down it may never be possible.
Writing allows me to share and immortalize the love story I once had, beautifully captured in a commercial.
Iโm not a singer, and I never imagined myself as a songwriter, but it feels incredible to hear the melodies of the runouts I write about the beauty of being a good mother to my son, Amazaiah Mkkadesh Salmasan-Santos.
Yes, I am the writer behind those commercials that brought you to tears, but before that, I started as a feature writer for my high school publication and eventually became the circulation manager during my college years.
I wrote this POV because, at my core, I am a writer.
