Meet Mika Noblejas
Full name: Jamaica Valiente Noblejas
Tubong Itbayat, Batanes and currently based in Basco

MiKA’s main medium is acrylic painting and she also creates works using pen, graphite and charcoal depending on the concept. She started drawing in elementary as a way to express herself and share stories with her younger sibling. In 2019, she became part of Hangtay Artists and since then she has continued refining her style and discipline in painting.
Her works are influenced by her childhood as an Ivatan, often blending realism and surrealism with dreamlike symbols such as children, toys, animals, stone houses, lighthouses and islands. Through her art, she hopes viewers feel peace, connection with nature and gratitude, like a quiet pause for the soul.
Selected exhibits include NCCA Gallery (2021), local exhibits and mural projects in Batanes (2019 to present), Tam-awan International Art Festival (2023) and SM Baguio Tam-awan International Art Festival (2024).
