Still feeling gratetul and humbled after being given the opportunity to teach crochet to our brave warriors of BGH Cancer Center.
And what made this experience even more special was that it happened during my birthday. 🎂🩷
A heartfelt thank you to Tita Ambic for inviting me to be part of this meaningful event. It was such an honor to spend time with these amazing people and share something as simple as crochet that can bring a little joy, comfort, and creativity into their day. 🥰
Thank you as well to all the wonderful sponsors who made this event possible, to Lions Club, and to Ate Leah for your generous donation and support. Your kindness helped make this experience even more special for our brave warriors. 💕
I’m also incredibly thankful to my dear friend Bien and my husband for being there to assist me throughout the workshop—and for taking photos so I could keep these beautiful memories.
And most of all, I want to thank my mom, a breast cancer survivor, who has supported me every step of the way. Having her by my side during this event made it even more meaningful to me.
Her strength, courage, and journey have always been an inspiration to me. Seeing her there made me realize just how personal and close to my heart this moment truly was. I couldn’t be more grateful to call her my mother. 🩷
This birthday, I was reminded that sometimes, the greatest gifts aren't the ones we receive—they're the moments when we get to give something from our hearts.
A little yarn.
A crochet hook.
A few hours together.
And hopefully, a little bit of comfort, joy, and hope. 🌷
To all the brave warriors of BGH Cancer Center, thank you for allowing me to share a little piece of my love for crochet with you. Your courage and smiles will stay with me for a long time.
Keep fighting, keep creating, and keep hoping.
what a beautiful birthday gift it was—to spend my birthday doing something that I love, with people who reminded me how precious life truly is. 🥹🩷
Until next time. ❤️
