Shop for a Cause

I wanted to have SUPER POWERS to help others. But as I grew up, I realized that I did have the power. God gave me the talents and skills to do just that. I may not be able to fly or bend steel but I learned that I can create and I can teach too. That is when I listed down my personal advocacies (outside my theater life) which are to “SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT”, “To EDUCATE & INSPIRE”, and through the

influence of my alma mater Sta Isabel College “CARITAS CHRISTI URGET NOS”, The Charity of Christ Urges us….”TO HELP”

• CAUSES:
I plan to have community livelihood workshops on ARTS & CRAFTS made from recycled materials for the unemployed sector, youth or senior citizens of our community or Church. ONE DAY ARTS & CRAFTS WORKSHOP: a minimal fee will be charged from the participant for the teacher, the organizers, the venue and for materials at least, like glue, string and sticks. For a minimal amount of P30.00 per head or if they donate a certain amount of white paper or magazines / flyers they can get in for free. LIVELIHOOD FOR THE UNEMPLOYED: A continuous project where people can come and join for free to learn and make the products with us. Through this method, we EDUCATE the community about RECYCLING & SKILLS to make products they can do at home to make extra money. Through products made at our workshops we get to RAISE FUNDS through the sales of these products too.

- CLEAN UP THE PHILIPPINES – will feature SHOP FOR A CAUSE at their online Youth Channel this November

- WORLDBEX – SHOP FOR A CAUSE will be at the World Trade Center thise December 2011

- STRIKE FOUNDATION – SHOP FOR A CAUSE will be in cooperation with this group for its community livelihood workshops & fund raisers

- THE PALMRIDGE SCHOOL – the school provided us with a free space to sell and feature our products to their teachers, students and their parents

- BAZAARISTAS FB GROUP – They help update me on when the most recent and nearest bazaar will be.

- CULTURAL CENTER OF THE PHILIPPINES – We had a stall of SHOP FOR A CAUSE last February 2011 for PASINAYA event.

- STA ISABEL COLLEGE CHARITY BAZAAR November 2011.

- SSKPIL – They will be helping us get a kiosk space at the Sto Nino Church every Sunday

- LIVELIHOOD FOR PRISONERS PROJECT – Their products are the first of so many to follow in the future.
