While I was scrolling on Facebook, this came up on my feed. Someone was saying, where do crafters get the nerve to sell ATM-size ref magnet souvenirs for below 15 pesos? There was even a comment suggesting that maybe they own a magnet factory and have unlimited ink.
Speaking for myself, maybe they saw my post in this group where I offer mine for only 12 pesos. But why is mine only 12 pesos? Here’s the reason: I just want to offer souvenirs that are more affordable. Some people can’t afford it if the pricing is higher. Even if I only earn 4 pesos profit per piece, that’s already okay with me.
I got into this business because when I first bought souvenirs for my child’s 1st birthday, they were 25 pesos each. I ordered 50 pieces and paid more than 1,000 pesos. But when my child turned 2 years old, I made them myself and I was really able to save a lot.
That’s why I want everyone to be able to afford what I offer. We each have our own materials and suppliers. Maybe others buy from more expensive sources, but as for me, I buy wherever there’s a sale and where I can save money.
So let’s not interfere with others about why this person or that person has such pricing. We may be offering the same product, but we have different goals in our businesses—and I prefer to offer prices that are budget friendly.
