🚨 SCAMMER ALERT – BEWARE OF BOGUS THIRD-PARTY “BUYER”! 🚨
There’s a scam going around where a fake “middleman” tricks both the seller and the buyer of a phone:
The scammer offers to “help” by finding a cheaper deal for the buyer.
He asks both parties to pretend to be his cousin (without telling the other), claiming he’s just connecting family and was requesting both seller and buyer to meet up.
Once the buyer sends the payment to him (because the price sounds much lower), he blocks both the seller and buyer and disappears with the money.
Neither the real seller nor the buyer gets the money or the phone!
Important:
Do NOT deal with anyone who wants to be a third party or middleman.
Always meet in person, and pay directly to the actual seller.
If someone tells you “pretend to be my cousin,” it’s a scam!
