Over the last few albums, Andrews has well and truly stepped out from the long-standing Nick Cave comparisons, establishing a voice that's unmistakably his own. Fragile World feels like an extension and growth forward, with shimmering textures and an emotional depth that recalls the best of '80s art rock and dream pop.
In many ways, it brings to mind Lost in a Dream by The War on Drugs - a record that absorbed its influences without ever feeling derivative, creating something timeless and deeply affecting.
