It has been a long time since we have received a pen that has made me go wow when I opened the box, but the Pilot Custom Urushi is one. A difficult beast to get (these were ordered in May!). Now I appreciate the love for Japanese lacquer.

We have just had the latest Safari special editions arrive, Pina Colada and Cherry Blossom. We also have the dark (deep) Lilac ink back in stock. And in related news the Cherry blossoms are beginning to flower here in whanganui, always a nice sign of spring.

I must say, the more I look at the new Lamy Alstars, the more I am tempted to snaffle one for myself. The colour matched grip really makes them pop.
