Our amber candles are perfect company and an easy way to incorporate self-care rituals into your day. I find myself lighting them daily - especially in the colder months of Winter with their amber light providing a warm, soft hue.

Our amber collection also includes a larger 250ml amber candle which gives 30 hours burn-time as well as Discovery Sets and Amber Gift Sets.

Our candles are handmade in small batches using therapeutic-grade essential oils and sustainably produced, clean-burning coconut wax.

* Remember to melt the wax to the edge of the vessel on the first burn and always trim your wick to 5mm before each use. This will ensure you achieve maximum burn-time.

Let’s talk about one of our best-selling blends, Nova - an ode to our founder’s daughter and a celebration of her own experience of motherhood.

Nova was created as a distinctively feminine scent with the star-shaped flower of jasmine as its defining note. As well as being a star that shines brightly, Nova also means ‘new’ and symbolises new beginnings and a sense of optimism.

Soft, powdery rose geranium essential pairs beautifully with the bright notes of and neroli and mandarin peel to create an elegant, floral celebration.

TOP NOTE

Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) ~ promotes a warm, relaxing environment, uplifting and calming, helpful in helping to soothe stress, low mood, nervous tension, irritability and sleeplessness.

Neroli (Citrus aurantium amara) ~ brings about a sense of peace and tranquillity. Great to use for anxiousness and panic, low mood, nervous tension, sleeplessness and emotional trauma or hysteria. It is sometimes called the ‘Rescue Remedy’ of essential oils.

HEART NOTE

Rose Geranium (Pelargonium roseum) ~ helps topromote relaxation and uplift mood.Often used in meditation or self-care rituals to promote emotional balance and self-love.

BASE NOTE

Jasmine (Jasminum sambac) ~ a natural anti-depressant, its uplifting scent can help ease feelings of sadness or low energy. Gently stimulating to lift spirits while promoting openess, warmth and self-assurance.

Poet candles are hand-poured at our Island Bay studio. We use sustainably produced coconut wax, lead-free wicks and reusable or refillable vessels.

Forest + Light is a bespoke scent designed for

Fresh and uplifting yet grounding at the same time, this beautiful blend of New Zealand douglas fir, black spruce, cedar and lemon peel echoes the deeply healing aroma of being in nature. When creating this blend, each essential oil has been consciously chosen to help support a sense of balance and calm with a touch of inspiration.

We’re proud to have partnered with Kate from O-Studio Wellington who has brought something truly beautiful to Wellington - an oasis of calm with sauna (both communal and private), ice baths, massage and so much more. Just what Wellington has needed and has to be experienced!

You’ll find Forest + Light being used throughout the studio and during their many meditation, breathwork and yoga classes they have on offer.

TOP NOTES
Green cardamon, ginger root - ginger brings a fresh, slightly zesty warmth, while cardamom adds a soft spice aromatic. Helps to ground anxious energy while keeping the mind alert. Ginger is often associated with “inner fire” - excellent for when energy feels low or scattered.

HEART NOTES
Cinnamon bark, clove bud - richer, deeper oils, anchoring the scent’s character, giving the blend its unmistakable chai warmth. Helps to promote feelings of warmth, confidence, and vitality and combat feelings of fatigue or stagnation.

BASE NOTE
Vanilla CO2 extract - soft vanilla rounds out the sharper spices and adds a creamy, comforting finish that lingers. Promotes feelings of safety and warmth.

Our first candle-making workshop for 2026 is now live with just six spots left. If you’ve been thinking about coming to one of our workshops - now’s your chance.

Come along and discover the beauty of therapeutic essential oils. Learn how to make your own signature scent using traditional perfumery techniques and then make a clean-burning aromatherapy candle.

This workshop is being held at the beautiful Wellington Apothecary, located in Cuba Mall and in close proximity to so many lovely cafes and restaurants. Enjoy soothing herbals tea and locally produced treats and come hang out with some like-minded scent lovers.

Bookings essential (via our website). Suitable for age 14 upwards.

What a lovely way to end the year! I absolutely love receiving messages like these. Each candle, aroma mist, perfume is made by me with love and intention ~ and always with you in mind. Each scent has been carefully designed to have specific therapeutic qualities. Some blends come to me quickly and some have taken years to refine. Emotional Rescue continues to be our best-selling scent and I just love how many of you adore it.
