Yesterday was a bittersweet day sending out our last boxes 🌈

While this chapter is closing, we don’t think it’s the end. There are ideas of how we can continue in different forms, but for now we are looking to the future and taking one day at a time… one book at a time, one chapter at a time, one page at a time 📖

Today Remus and I are grateful for all of you all! So for the next week we have decided that along with stickers and badges, every book box purchase we are going to throw in a surprise book! 📦

It’s been a tumultuous 6 months, but the business is officially in it’s wrapping up phase and my goal for the next few weeks is to find new homes for the last of the books on the lead up to the silly season!📦

There is a 15% automatic discount for everything in the store (everything!), but once it’s gone, it’s gone! I will have set dispatch days in the banner of the store and I will be adding bonuses into the packages - any orders in the next few days are going to get a bunch of bonus stickers ✨

Kia ora Alphabet Whānau,

I have been avoiding making this post for a while.

As most of you know that 2024 was a bit of a dumpster fire for me and I surprisingly found myself at the helm of this wonderful q***r business solo. You may have noticed it has been pretty slow on the Alphabet Pages or I have taken a while to respond to messages/emails and that is purely because I cannot keep it going alone, even with the incredible help I have received from Sally, one of my beautiful chosen family. It’s also been a pretty bleak time to be q***r person in Aotearoa recently, particularly one that sells books for trans kids… So as you can imagine sometimes the DMs are a cesspit.

All this is to say I have made the heartbreaking, but necessary, decision to close down the store for now.

I need to take it very slowly so that I can manage it alongside my work commitments, so over the next couple of months I will be selling all of our stock, including items that I have previously only sold at markets and book box treasures. If you would like to purchase anything in bulk please let me know, I am open to all offers.

As you can probably understand, this is devastating for me. I am going to keep the instagram active and continue to share book memes, and snaps of Remus and let y’all know the books that I am reading/recommending. This way the community that we have all made can stay alive.

How’s your 2025 reading going? 🌈

For me it is going slowly. Since emerging from camp I have slammed straight back into working non-stop on my non-bookstore mahi and my reading time has disappeared! 😭

It should hopefully all settle down soon and I can get back on track. Thanks to those who have put in a steady stream of orders throughout January, despite me being quiet on socials - I hope that you are getting the best quality reading time this summer! 📖

(Also, I may have gotten a bit carried away on my Out and Proud stickering on this package, we have our quiet pride packaging option for those that want their deliveries to be less… loud 😅)

New stock is starting to roll in for 2025! 📚

Starting off with the return of one of the best reference books in our collection - a guide written for trans, non-binary and questioning people, with excellent sections for whānau! 🏳️‍⚧️

This is the first book that I’ll send people to if they are exploring their gender or wanting to support a loved one or have questions about what all this Trans stuff means💙

This seems well timed for what’s happening in the world right now, there are so many people who could benefit from reading this book 📖
