Everyone has been so distracted and anxious about the weather this last week, it is amazing to wake today to sunshine and calm here in Waihi. So now is the time to sit quietly and create a wee bookworm! We are extending the time to bring them to the shop to Saturday 18th. We look forward to your creations!

I hope you are well-supplied with reading material for what could be a closed-in weekend! And that you and family are safe and dry.

You can make a 'virtual' visit to the shop on Saturday morning if you can't come in person: Radio New Zealand National programme's Susanna Lei'ataua will be doing a short interview with me at 11a.m.. I think they heard about a guy from North America who visits every time time he comes to see family here in Waihi, and wondered what was special!

We're open Saturday and Sunday, 10-3pm, and likely also Monday - but if the town is empty I may take a break Monday!

Just to advise that Books on Seddon will be closing from 1pm
today, Thurs 15, due to a family bereavement. We will reopen Sunday 18th, at 10.30, and will also be open on Monday 10am to 3pm, and normal hours after that.

I do apologise for any inconvenience and hope you can fit in a visit at another time.
