Things are looking a little different at the nursery …

Good morning Gardeners, for those who haven’t been to the nursery recently, you will notice it feels a bit more open haha. We made the tough choice to remove our existing roadside planting! Proper scorched earth stuff! The reason we did this was because we were getting more and more w**d species into the hedge line and it was the best option to clean it out. Sometimes you just have to start fresh.
But don’t worry! We have replanted and it will look fabulous and lush again soon!

Well today’s weather is so much better than i thought it would be!
As i say, you never really can trust the weatherman this time of year haha.
As I was wondering around my parents nursery I admired this beautiful Viburnum Eve Price hedge, its in full flower at the moment and looking glorious! Wanting a winter flowering hedge that leaves less mess than other popular options (cough cough, looking at you camellia) then this is the plant for you!

If you have driven around Bethlehem recently and seen a white flowering hedge i can almost guarantee it would have been Camellia sasanqua setsugekka.
It’s a fantastic variety of camellia for hedging and looks so elegant.
You after that type of hedge? Well we have tons available at the nursery for just $7.50 each

Its another glorious winters day out there and I’ve been admiring my camellia fairy blush hedge this morning so thought I would do a post to highlight her beauty!
She comes into full flower mid winter so is wonderful for our pollinators, tons of delicate blushed pink flowers and can be trimmed to whatever size you like really. They are one of the smaller camellias though so not huge.

We have heaps in stock and its a perfect time to plant

The days are officially getting longer!! HURRAH!

I know winter really is just starting, but I’ll tell you this, the plants really notice more sunshine hours! I recon sunlight hours have a larger effect than temperature .. that is just my thoughts personally as a grower though haha

If you are wanting to get the most out of the spring growth, now is the time for planting. The nursery is looking great, great grade and fantastic selection… all for just $7.50 each!!!
